Your Role

Within the R&D Reliability team, composed of 6 engineers, you will contribute to improving the performance, reliability, and availability of Exotec robotic systems.

Our Mission: to leverage data and analyze failures to improve the robustness and lifespan of our systems, while reducing operational downtime.

At the interface between hardware and software, you will identify root causes of failures, develop analysis tools, and drive technical improvements. You will work on the entire system, from field data analysis to the development and validation of concrete solutions.

Within the R&D Reliability team, your missions are as follows:

• Analyze failures and improve reliability: leverage field data, identify main failure modes, research root causes, and define corrective and preventive actions.
• Develop analysis tools: design your own software tools to leverage data, diagnose problems, and evaluate system performance.
• Develop and test software solutions: carry out embedded software development independently to test your improvements and resolve issues at the hardware-software interface.
• Contribute to system evolution: work with design teams to improve components, sub-systems, and hardware architectures.
• Design and conduct tests: define test protocols, conduct experiments on R&D dedicated systems, and measure the effectiveness of implemented improvements.
• Enrich your knowledge of field systems: participate in customer support to better understand usage conditions, investigate encountered problems, and identify new areas for improvement.

Your Profile

• You hold a higher technical degree in mechatronics, embedded systems, industrial engineering, or a related field, or you have equivalent experience.
• You have experience in the design, development, or validation of technical systems and show a strong interest in failure research and root cause analysis.
• You are comfortable with development tools, versioning, and data analysis.
• You appreciate challenges at the software and hardware interface and are capable of understanding the interactions between different system components.
• You are familiar with quantitative methods applied to reliability: MTTF, MTBF, Weibull distribution, or statistical failure analysis.
• You are curious, structured, and rigorous, with a methodical approach to problem-solving.
• You know how to question your assumptions, deepen your analyses, and seek new knowledge when necessary.
• You enjoy collaborating with engineers with diverse expertise, whether hardware, software, or systems oriented.
• You have an operational level of English, both written and spoken.
