Registrar in Psychiatry - Non Training -Fixed Term 9 months

Seeking a registrar at the level of PGY3 and above for a position in psychiatry in a public sector semi rural hospital in New Zealand's North Island. Non training, service role but department split between 2 sites is RANZCP accredited.


Position Highlights:

• Join a psychiatry department accredited for RANZCP training with 12 registrars working at 2 hospitals. This job is not accredited for formal training but provides valuable clinical experience for junior doctors seeking experience in psychiatry with a view to joining a formal training program.
• The psychiatry programme offers runs in acute inpatient psychiatry, community adult psychiatry, Māori mental health, rural psychiatry, child and youth mental health, liaison psychiatry and psychiatry for older adults.

• 40 hour working week
• On call rota participation

• MBBS or equivalent qualification
• Eligible for general registration (or provisional general registration) with the Medical Council of New Zealand
