Job description

Exciting opportunities are available for dynamic, highly motivated Registered Nurses to join a close-knit, hardworking Recovery/PACU Team at a private hospital in Sydney. These full-time or part-time roles offer exposure to a diverse range of perioperative specialties, including Orthopaedics, Neurosurgery, Urology, Spinal Surgery, and ENT. POSITION OVERVIEW As a Registered Nurse - Recovery/PACU, you will play a vital role within a supportive team, ensuring high-quality patient care. Your responsibilities will include:
  • Delivering safe, research-based standards of nursing care;
  • Supervising, directing, and guiding nursing team members; Enrolled Nurses (ENs) and Assistants in Nursing (AINs) to deliver patient care;
  • Delivering education and support to individuals/patients for the management of their health recovery, rehabilitation, or end-of-life needs;
  • Leading successful quality improvement and safety management projects to deliver desired outcomes;
  • Working collaboratively with the wider healthcare team to support patient care needs;
  • Acting as a role model for Safe Practice.
REQUIREMENTS
  • Current registration with AHPRA;
  • 2 years' RN experience in Recovery/PACU Nursing with experience in one of the following specialties: Orthopaedics, Neurosurgery, Spinal, Urology, ENT, and general surgery;
  • Authority to Work in Australia;
  • Working with Children check;
  • Bachelor of Science (Nursing) or equivalent;
  • Compliance with ACQSHC National standards;
  • Clinical expertise and commitment to high-quality patient care and continuous improvement;
  • Self-motivated and proven ability to work as part of a high-functioning team;
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills;
  • Highly developed interpersonal skills, proactive, motivated and customer-focused.

REMUNERATION $39.09 - $54.89 per hour. ABOUT THE FACILITY The hospital, located in Western Sydney, is a modern 109-bed facility providing a wide range of health services to the local community, including orthopaedics, spinal, gynaecology, ENT, plastics, urology and general surgery, endoscopy, cardiology, cardiac angiography, and obstetrics. The hospital has eight operating Theatres, one hybrid/cardiac catheterisation theatre, and an endoscopy suite, supported by a critical care unit that includes intensive care.
