About the role

As the Registered Nurse in the Bowen Ward, you will be responsible for assessing, planning, implementing and evaluating nursing care for patients.
You will also:

• Identify potential medical complications
• Provide interventions, treatments and therapies as necessary
• Support the patient and their family according to their needs and wishes
• Effectively develop discharge plans that reflect the needs of patients and their significant others
• Practice will be in line with the code of conduct and professional boundaries of the nursing professional body

This is a casual position and is located at Bowen Hospital, Crofton Downs, Wellington.

About you

As the Registered Nurse in the Bowen Ward, you will you will be professional, motivated and enthusiastic. You will have excellent communication skills and provide exceptional standard of care to our patients.
You will also demonstrate and have the following skills and experiences:

• Registered Nurse with current NZ Nursing Council annual practicing certificate
• At least two years nursing experience
• Recent acute surgical experience
• Committed to continuous quality improvement and personal development
• Excellence written and oral communication
• Be a team player
