The Transplant Care UnitRegistered Nurses (RNs) provide direct patient care, utilizing the nursing process, in accordance with established policies, procedures, and protocols of the healthcare organization.The Transplant Care UnitRegistered Nurses (RNs) collaborate with other professional disciplines to ensure effective and efficient patient care delivery. Responsibilities * Demonstrates the ability to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care * Adheres to established standards of nursing practice and provides care according to the healthcare organization's policies and procedures * Administers medications, monitors patient conditions, and documents care provided * Collaborates with the healthcare team to ensure coordinated patient care * Educates patients and families on health conditions and treatment plans * Maintains a safe and therapeutic patient environment * Participates in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care outcomes * Participates in professional development activities to enhance clinical skills and knowledge Qualifications * Graduate of an accredited school of nursing * Current RN license in the state of Texas * BLS certification (American Heart Association) * ACLS certification * Minimum of one (1) year of experience in a critical care setting or similar experience * Transplant experience preferred Methodist Hospital Specialty and Transplant is a 468-bed hospital, offering a full range of medical services.
