Registered Nurse - Surgical Ward | Sydney

New opportunities have arisen for experienced and highly motivated Registered Nurses with previous surgical experience to work across the 36-bed Surgical Ward at a private hospital in Sydney. ABOUT THE ROLE As a Registered Nurse, your responsibilities will include:

• Delivering safe, research-based standards of nursing care;
• Supporting patients through their recovery period;
• Contributing to quality improvement and safety initiatives;
• Collaborating with the multidisciplinary team to optimise outcomes;
• Acting as a role model for safe, compassionate practice.

You will be managing high-acuity patients with complex post-operative needs, offering you the opportunity to deepen your clinical expertise in a supportive and well-resourced environment.
REQUIREMENTS

• Current AHPRA registration;
• 1-2 years of surgical nursing experience;
• Working with Children check;
• Specialty nursing experience - general adult surgery - Bariatrics, Colorectal, Plastics;
• Commitment to Quality Patient Care;
• Compliance with ACQSHC National standards;
• Sound clinical decision-making and problem-solving skills;
• Excellent communication and customer service skills;
• Works well independently and within a team;
• Intermediate computer skills.

REMUNERATION $39.09 - $54.89 per hour.

The Operating Theatre complex has 16 theatres, 32 first-stage recovery bays, and an additional 32 second-stage chairs. The specialties include General (including laparoscopic), Colorectal, Bariatric, Orthopaedic, Cardiothoracic, ENT, Plastics, Paediatric, Oral & Dental Gynaecology & Obstetrics, Ophthalmic, Gastroenterology, Neurosurgery, Urology, and Vascular surgery.
