About the Role As a Registered Nurse on the Surgical Ward, you'll deliver high-quality patient care under the guidance of the Nurse Unit Manager, Clinical Nurse, and Team Leaders. This role offers the opportunity to work within a collaborative team environment whilst maintaining your clinical expertise in surgical nursing.

Key Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, coordinate, and evaluate care delivery needs of surgical patients
• Deliver evidence-based nursing care in line with hospital care values and strategic direction
• Work collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team to ensure excellent patient outcomes
• Maintain exceptional customer service standards and patient-centred care
• Demonstrate effective time management in a fast-paced surgical environment
• Maintain positive working relationships with colleagues, patients, and families
• Work flexibly within a rotating roster structure
• Contribute to quality improvement initiatives and best practice implementation

Essential Requirements

• Current AHPRA Registered Nurse registration
• Minimum 2 years hospital-based postgraduate nursing experience
• Previous experience working in surgical specialty
• Demonstrated ability to assess, plan, coordinate, and evaluate patient care delivery
• Exceptional customer service and time management abilities
• Capability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
• Proven ability to work effectively both in a team and independently
• Ability to work a flexible rotating roster
• National Police Check conducted within the previous 12 months
• Proof of immunisation against infectious diseases

Desirable Requirements

• Working with Children check (may be required depending on the role)

Remuneration & Benefits

• Base Hourly Rate: $37.75 - $53.02 + superannuation (NSW RN/Midwife Gr1-Gr8)
• Full-Time Equivalent: $72,420 - $101,705 per annum (exclusive of penalties or allowances)
• Salary based on experience level and qualifications
