Registered Nurse - Surgical Cysto APU

Job Description The Registered Nurse (RN) is a regulated health care professional who is accountable and responsible for providing quality patient focused nursing care to patients in the Cystoscopy Unit. As part of the inter-professional health care team, the RN will practice according to the nursing practice expectations set by Osler, the regulatory practice standards of the College of Nurses and the legislative requirements set by the Regulated Health Professions Act. Accountabilities: Safe nursing practices that ensure patient safety and well-being; provision of quality patient focused nursing care that is respectful, compassionate and culturally sensitive; participation in inter-professional health care team meetings to discuss patient care plans and outcomes; and adherence to established policies and procedures for reporting and documenting patient information. Requirements: Current registration with the College of Nurses; current certification in Basic Life Support (BLS); ability to work effectively as part of an inter-professional health care team; excellent communication, interpersonal and problem-solving skills; ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information; and ability to adapt to changing priorities and workload demands.
