Registered Nurse - Scrub Scout | Melbourne

Leverage your Orthopaedic or Neurosurgery expertise in a rewarding nursing role working across the Scrub/Scout Unit at a private hospital in Melbourne. Permanent full-time and part-time positions are available.
ABOUT THE ROLE As a Registered Nurse, your responsibilities will include the following:

• Delivering evidence-based nursing care;
• Liaising with the multi-disciplinary team;
• Ensuring patient and staff safety;
• Supervising, directing and guiding nursing team members; Enrolled Nurses (ENs) to deliver patient care;
• Delivering education and support to individuals/patients for the management of their health recovery, rehabilitation or end-of-life needs.

REQUIREMENTS

• Current registration with AHPRA;
• Post Graduate Certificate in Perioperative Nursing (or working towards);
• Working with Children check (if relevant);
• Commitment to Quality Patient Care;
• Compliance with ACQSHC National standards;
• Sound clinical decision-making and problem-solving skills;
• Excellent communication and customer service skills;
• Ability to work well independently and within a team.

ABOUT THE FACILITY The hospital, located in Melbourne, is a fully accredited tertiary facility that provides Emergency Services, Extensive Surgical Specialities, a 20-bed ICU/CCU, Medical, and a full range of Cardiac Services, including two 24-hour Cardiac Catheter Laboratories. A 24/7 Emergency Department that covers a full range of medical and surgical specialty areas, including highly complex surgeries. Backed by the latest technology and expertise, 15 theatres are offered, including a hybrid theatre, diagnostic cardiology, two cardiac cath labs, and capabilities for cardiothoracic surgery, orthopedics, neurosurgery, urology, and more.
