Job Summary: * Under the general supervision of the Nurse Manager/Director, the Registered Nurse provides direct patient care. * The Registered Nurse demonstrates the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age of the patients served. * The Registered Nurse demonstrates knowledge of the principles of growth and development over the life span. * The Registered Nurse is able to assess and interpret data reflective of the patient's status and is able to identify each patient's requirements relative to his/her age-specific needs. * The Registered Nurse will also provide care for the patients undergoing orthopedic and trauma procedures. Responsibilities: * Assess patients, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care. * Provide direct patient care. * Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians. * Educate patients and families on health conditions and treatment plans. * Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records. * Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes. * Adhere to all hospital policies and procedures. Qualifications: Education: * Associate's Degree in Nursing or Diploma in Nursing required. * Bachelor's Degree in Nursing preferred. Licenses/Certifications: * Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice required. * Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required. * Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification preferred. * Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) certification preferred. Experience: * Minimum of 1 year of experience as a Registered Nurse preferred. * Experience in orthopedic or trauma nursing preferred.
