Registered Nurse - Medical Oncology | Mornington Peninsula

Excellent opportunities exist for motivated Registered Nurses to join a supportive and friendly team and work on a full-time basis across the Medical Oncology Ward at a private hospital on the Mornington Peninsula.
ABOUT THE ROLE You will work in a 15-bed Medical Oncology Ward, working alongside an oncology day infusion centre, providing care throughout various stages for those with cancer.
Your responsibilities will include:

• Delivering evidence-based nursing care, liaising with the multi-disciplinary team;
• Ensuring patient and staff safety;
• Providing education and support to patients for the management of their health recovery, rehabilitation, or end-of-life needs.

REQUIREMENTS

• Current Registration with AHPRA;
• Experience in oncology nursing of at least three years or a willingness to learn (previous oncology experience is an advantage, but not essential);
• Must be able to work night duty;
• A strong team player with excellent communication skills;
• Ability to provide holistic care in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment;
• Compassionate and empathetic approach to patient care.

ABOUT THE FACILITY The hospital, located on the Mornington Peninsula, is a 205-bed facility equipped with 4 operating theatres, a high-dependency unit, and a short-stay unit.
