Registered Nurse - Day Surgery | Sydney

A new opportunity has opened up for a Registered Nurse to join the Day Surgery team at a prestigious private hospital in Sydney. You can join on a full-time, part-time, or casual basis and play a key role within a supportive team in ensuring high levels of patient care is provided.
ABOUT THE ROLE As a Registered Nurse, your responsibilities will include:

• Delivering evidence-based nursing care and patient-centered care;
• Liaising with the multi-disciplinary team;
• Ensuring patient and staff safety;
• Supervising, directing, and guiding nursing team members; Enrolled Nurses (ENs) to deliver patient care;
• Delivering education and support to patients for the management of their health requirements.

REQUIREMENTS

• Current registration with AHPRA;
• Bachelor of Science (Nursing) or equivalent;
• Cardiac experience is highly regarded;
• At least 1 year of acute DSU/surgical care experience;
• Cardiac experience is highly regarded;
• Authority to Work in Australia;
• Working with Children check (if relevant);
• Previous experience in a Day Surgery Unit or a Surgical Ward setting;
• Compliance with ACQSHC National standards;
• Demonstrated ability to show initiative and work within a team environment;
• Excellent communication skills;
• Passion for patient-centered care.

REMUNERATION $35.46 - $49.79 per hour.
ABOUT THE FACILITY The hospital, located in Sydney's North West, is a private 277-bed high acuity facility with an Emergency Department. The complex has 19 theatres (including Endoscopy), 32 first-stage recovery bays, as well as an additional 32 second-stage chairs & 16 pre-operative beds in the day surgery unit. The specialties include General (including laparoscopic), Colorectal, Bariatric, Orthopaedic, Cardiothoracic, ENT, Plastics, Paediatric, Oral & Dental, Gynaecology & Obstetrics, Ophthalmic, Gastroenterology, Neurosurgery, Urology, Angiography, and Vascular surgery.
