Your Role Will Include:
- Provide comprehensive midwifery care for women during antenatal and postnatal periods
- Care for women post-delivery and support their recovery
- Prepare families for the first 6 weeks postpartum through education and support
- Provide education on all aspects of caring for baby and accessing community support
- Offer breastfeeding assistance and lactation support
- Support women with choice and individualised care throughout their journey
- Work collaboratively with obstetricians, paediatricians, and multidisciplinary teams
- Maintain accurate clinical documentation and records
- Participate in antenatal education classes and clinic services
- Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Midwife
- Relevant midwifery qualification and experience
- Strong clinical skills in antenatal and postnatal care
- Experience in maternity ward or birth suite settings preferred
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Compassionate approach to patient and family care
- Ability to work effectively in a busy maternity environment
- Current CPR certification and willingness to maintain ongoing education
- Postgraduate qualification in midwifery or women's health
- Experience in private hospital maternity care
- Lactation consultant certification
- Neonatal resuscitation certification
- Leadership or mentoring experience
