Job description
THE POSITION We are looking for a Regional Public & Government Affairs Manager to ensure a strong and qualified institutional presence with elected political decision-makers at regional and local levels (Regional Councils, Regional Committees, Commissions, Mayors, Municipal Councils, Provincial Presidents) within the Human Pharma and Animal Health sectors. This role focuses exclusively on political engagement, aiming to anticipate, influence, and enhance public and regulatory debates in healthcare. Your responsibilities will include: * Development and implementation of a comprehensive public affairs strategy for the assigned region, aligned with global and national strategies. * Monitoring and analysis of the political and regulatory environment, identifying trends, risks, and opportunities. * Building and maintaining relationships with key political stakeholders. * Advocacy on key public policy issues. * Coordination with internal stakeholders (e.g., Marketing, Medical, Market Access). * Management of external consultants and agencies. * Budget management for the region. * Organization of events and public relations activities. QUALIFICATIONS * Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., Political Science, Law, Public Affairs). * Significant experience in public affairs, government relations, or a related field, preferably within the pharmaceutical industry or healthcare sector. * Strong understanding of the political and regulatory landscape in the region. * Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. * Proven ability to build and maintain relationships with stakeholders. * Strategic thinking and problem-solving skills. * Ability to work independently and as part of a team. * Fluency in the local language and English is essential.
