Sea-Eye e. V. is seeking a* Referent*in Advocacy (m/w/d) -- temporarily.
Sea-Eye e. V. is a civil aid organization that was founded in 2015 to prevent the loss of human life at sea. With our rescue ship, we are searching for people in distress on the deadliest migration route in the world and fighting against the daily loss of human life at sea.

Our office is located in Regensburg, but since many of our employees work from home, our collaboration takes place digitally and by phone.

Aufgaben

• Establishment of contact with other NGOs in the field of sea rescue and humanitarian aid with the aim of political lobbying
• Participation and preparation of internal and external events
• Development of position papers and briefings on current themes relevant to sea rescue
• Preparation for other areas for communication work
• Research work on political issues such as individual cases, upcoming legislation, etc.
• Establishment of a system with contacts to all stakeholders relevant to Sea-Eye
• Coordination of the creation of an advocacy strategy with the participation of other Sea-Eye members
• Processing of content from the legal team for exchange with political stakeholders

Qualifikation

• A completed university degree in the fields of journalism, media, communication, migration studies or a comparable qualification
• Several years of professional experience, particularly in the political sector or in civil society organizations
• Good language skills and adequate handling of different target groups in very good German and English
• You have a sense of current themes and recognize patterns in public discourse
• Time flexibility and willingness to travel, regular presence in Berlin
