Recreation Assistant Location: Cambridge Salary: £29,586 per annum Vacancy Type: Fixed Term Maternity Cover, Full Time The Perse School Cambridge is one of the country’s leading independent co-educational day schools for children aged 3-18. The Role The Recreation Assistant will work as part of a team in supervising, controlling and ensuring the safety and comfort of customers at all times in the Sports Centre, but in particular focus with the swimming pool environment and to provide the highest level of customer service. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who is passionate about recreation and leisure activities, and has excellent communication and interpersonal skills. The ideal candidate will be able to work independently as well as part of a team, and have experience working with children and young people. The Recreation Assistant will also be responsible for supporting the Sports Centre Manager in the day-to-day running of the centre, including opening and closing procedures, and ensuring that all health and safety regulations are adhered to. This is a fixed term maternity cover position, full time, for 12 months.
