Please note that much of this role will be desk and telephony based About this role | Mō te tūranga mahi The Sensitive Claims Service provides support to anyone in Aotearoa New Zealand, including visitors to the country who have experienced sexual abuse or assault in New Zealand. The Recovery Partner Mental Injury team acts as a facilitator between clients and whānau, providing emotional support and guidance throughout the claims process. This role is critical in ensuring that our clients receive the support they need to recover from their experiences. * Key responsibilities: * Provide emotional support and guidance to clients and whānau throughout the claims process * Facilitate communication between clients and whānau, and other stakeholders as required * Develop and maintain a thorough understanding of the Sensitive Claims Service's policies and procedures * Work collaboratively with other teams within the service to ensure effective delivery of support to clients * Provide regular updates to clients and whānau on the progress of their claims * Identify and escalate any issues or concerns that may impact the timely resolution of a claim * Maintain accurate and detailed records of all interactions with clients and whānau * Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance knowledge and skills * * Requirements: * Bachelor's degree in Social Work, Psychology, Counselling, or related field * 2+ years' experience working in a mental health or social services setting * Strong understanding of trauma-informed practice and the impact of sexual abuse on individuals and whānau * Excellent communication and interpersonal skills * Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities and deadlines * High level of emotional intelligence, empathy, and resilience * * Benefits: * Competitive salary and benefits package * Ongoing professional development opportunities * Collaborative and supportive team environment * Flexible working arrangements (including remote work options) *
