Real Estate Management Specialist

OUR TEAM WITHIN IKEA You'll play a central role in shaping how we manage and care for our buildings across BE & NL. You'll lead improvements, drive sustainability initiatives, and help ensure that our units remain safe, efficient, and ready for the future—all while contributing to a strong, collaborative Real Estate community. YOUR RESPONSABILITIES As Real Estate Management Specialist, you will develop, implement, and adapt facility and property management standards to ensure safe, compliant, sustainable, and efficient operations. This includes: • Developing and implementing facility and property management strategies that align with IKEA's overall goals and objectives. • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to identify and prioritize initiatives that drive sustainability, efficiency, and cost savings. • Ensuring compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards. • Providing expert advice and guidance on real estate-related matters to various stakeholders. • Building and maintaining strong relationships with internal and external partners. • Staying up-to-date with industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies that can benefit IKEA's Real Estate operations. YOUR QUALIFICATIONS To be successful in this role, you'll need: • A bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as real estate, facilities management, or a related discipline. • At least 3-5 years of experience in property or facility management, preferably within the retail or commercial sector. • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think strategically and make informed decisions. • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with stakeholders. • Proficiency in MS Office, particularly Excel, Word, and PowerPoint. • Familiarity with property management software and systems is a plus. • Certification in real estate or facilities management (e.g., RPA, CFM) is an asset.
