R&D - Product Development & Innovation Specialist - Food

The Context

Our Client is a leading multinational company in the Food sector, characterized by a strong positioning on its brands and a constant focus on product innovation.

Within the R&D structure dedicated to product innovation, we are looking for a figure who will contribute to the creation and development of new opportunities, intercepting emerging trends and new consumer needs.

The resource will join an international team and will have a cross-functional role, collaborating with the various company functions involved in the innovation process.

The Role

The resource will contribute to the development of the product innovation pipeline, managing projects related to both the evolution of existing products and the creation of completely new concepts and products.

Specifically, they will be responsible for:

• Managing product development activities and projects, ensuring their progress according to defined milestones and timelines
• Identifying new innovation opportunities based on emerging consumer trends, insights, and needs
• Developing product concepts and prototypes, coordinating the related experimentation activities
• Overseeing production trials and supporting the industrialization of new products, including through the use of the pilot plant
• Collaborating with Marketing, Insights, Supply Chain, and Sales in the definition and execution of projects
• Contributing to the development of product strategies that maintain relevance and competitive advantage
• Supporting the management of relationships with suppliers, external partners, and research entities
• Identifying technologies, skills, and partnerships useful for accelerating innovation programs
• Ensuring that new developments are consistent with company objectives in nutritional and sustainability areas
• Contributing to the evolution of innovation processes with a curious, pragmatic, and experimentation-oriented approach

The Requirements

• Degree in technical-scientific disciplines, preferably Food Science and Technology, Chemistry, Engineering, Biology, or equivalent paths
• At least 1-3 years of experience in Product Development/R&D in the Food & Beverage sector, preferably gained within multinational companies or structured industrial contexts
• Knowledge of product innovation processes and familiarity with rapid prototyping methodologies and, preferably, Open Innovation/Design Thinking
• Interest in consumer trends, new technologies, and understanding of consumer needs
• Ability to work in cross-functional teams and in international contexts
• Professional knowledge of the English language
• Curiosity, autonomy, pragmatic approach, and results orientation

What We Offer

Permanent Contract – Employee Level

Gross Annual Salary: €40,000 – €50,000

Performance Bonus
