R&D Engineer Customer Projects
Job description
Adecco Are you in possession of a Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics or similar, and have previous experience in developing products - preferably electromechanical or mechatronic devices? Have you already been involved in project management, closely working with external stakeholders and internal departments? If so, this offer might be the one for you! Responsibilities As an R&D engineer and project manager in the applications engineering department, you will develop new customized products and manage related development projects: - Product development activities - Design proposals - Execution of calculations - Creation of part designs and assembly drawings - Supervision of prototyping and production activities - Analysis of test results - Optimization of product design from a technical, productive, and logistical standpoint - Implementation of modification requests (both within and outside the scope of customer projects) - Project management activities - Interface with the sales team and customers throughout all project phases, from start to finish - Active participation in technical discussions with the customer to clarify technical requirements - Monitoring of project status in terms of time and costs, and responsibility for achieving project goals in terms of quality, cost, time, and results - Creation and continuous updating of project documentation, as well as internal reporting and communication to management - Coordination of activities among all internal departments involved in the project (Industrial Engineering, Quality, Purchasing, Finance, Production, Logistics, Planning) - Support for the applications engineering department and sales, providing feedback on technical requests and participating in customer meetings (even outside the scope of development projects) - Contribution to improving the company's internal quality management system.
Your profile - Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics or equivalent (Mechanical Engineering, Robotics, etc.) - Solid technical training with a multidisciplinary focus (mechanics, thermal management, electromagnetism, electronics) - Previous experience of at least 3 years in product development; direct experience in developing electromechanical or mechatronic devices and/or experience with Siemens NX CAD system will be a plus - At least 2 years of experience in project management, with particular attention to direct contacts with external stakeholders (customers, suppliers, etc.) and coordination of internal activities among multiple departments - Excellent knowledge of English (C1 level), and preferably French and German - Strong team spirit, openness, and collaborative attitude - Methodical and creative approach to problem-solving - Good communication skills.
