1. JOB DESCRIPTION: COOK - FULL TIME

Salary: $65,000 - $75,000

Main Duties:

• Preparing, cooking and presenting a range of dishes

• Assisting in clearing the kitchen

• Maintaining stock control

• Assisting cooks of a higher grade

• Practising proper workplace health and safety procedures

• Other incidental and peripheral duties as requested by the Employer

Communication:

• Work closely with hotel management and the kitchen team

• Communicate effectively with customers and fellow staff

• Follow all lawful and reasonable directions from your Employer

• Work cooperatively

• Show respect towards and understanding of others

Key Selection Criteria:

• Demonstrated ability to follow verbal and written instructions

• Demonstrated ability to safely and effectively utilise tools and equipment associated with a commercial kitchen

• Experience in preparing and cooking a range of dishes

• Ability to communicate politely and effectively with others including staff, management and customers

• Attention to detail

Skill:

• 1 year of relevant work experience required for this role

Salary: $65,000 - $75,000

Job Responsibilities:

• Ensure consistency in service and product on a daily basis

• Ensure all product is stocked correctly Assist customers and resolve complaints

Job Description:

• Ensure that food and beverages from store are received correctly and promptly by customers.

• Manage staff, organize working plan and time schedule for everyone, specify and assign duties on a daily basis

• Be responsible for coaching, counselling, recruiting, training and disciplining staff.

• Manage stock levels.

• Discuss menu ideas with chefs and make menu plans.

• Oversee and undertaking stock control including purchasing and financial transactions.

• Ascertain levels of customer satisfaction and acting accordingly.

• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations for customers and staff.

• Hire staff, train, and develop performance of team members

• Perform other tasks as employer requires
