Work Location: Balikpapan Rotation: 28:28 Job Summary The Radio Operator is responsible for operating the communication systems on the drilling ship, including VHF/HF radios, satellite communications, and emergency communication systems to support operations and safety. Key Responsibilities Operate vessel communication systems (radio, satellite, GMDSS). Monitor communication traffic and relay accurate information. Support offshore operations with regular communications between vessel, rig, and shore-based personnel. Ensure effective communication during emergencies and drills. Maintain accurate records of communication activities. Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting on communication equipment. Participate in training exercises to improve communication skills. Comply with company policies and procedures for communication systems.
