Job Summary The Radiation Therapist I is responsible for: Providing radiation services and patient care in accordance with established policies and standards of professional practice for radiation therapy. Providing radiation services through treatment planning, delivery and follow up. Providing individualized radiation therapy simulation, planning and treatments to patients in consultation with the oncology team. Administering prescribed Radiation Treatments using complex equipment and clinical protocols. Collaborating with other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive patient care. Maintaining accurate and detailed records of patient treatments and outcomes. Participating in quality improvement initiatives to ensure optimal patient care. Developing and maintaining knowledge and skills necessary for professional growth and development. Staying current with advances in radiation therapy technology, treatment techniques and clinical practices. Providing education and support to patients and families regarding radiation therapy and its effects. Maintaining confidentiality and adhering to all applicable laws and regulations related to patient information. Participating in departmental meetings and activities as required.
