The team translates physics-driven device concepts into repeatable, manufacturable hardware and measurement workflows that deliver high‑fidelity qubits and robust cryogenic performance. Job Description We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Quantum Characterisation Engineer to join our growing team. As a key member, you will contribute to the development and characterization of quantum devices. You will work closely with other engineers and physicists to design, execute, and analyze experiments to improve device performance. Responsibilities Design, execute, and analyze experiments to characterize quantum devices. Develop and implement automated measurement and control systems. Collaborate with other engineers and physicists to improve device performance. Contribute to the development of new measurement techniques and protocols. Troubleshoot and debug experimental setups and measurement systems. Maintain detailed records of experimental procedures and results. Present results to the team and contribute to technical reports. Requirements PhD in Physics, Electrical Engineering, or a related field. Experience with cryogenic measurement techniques. Experience with quantum device characterization. Strong understanding of quantum mechanics and solid-state physics. Experience with data analysis and scientific programming (e.g., Python, MATLAB). Experience with microwave and radio-frequency (RF) measurement techniques. Excellent problem-solving and communication skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Desirable Skills Experience with superconducting qubits. Experience with dilution refrigerators. Experience with device fabrication. Experience with control and automation software (e.g., LabVIEW).
