Job description
Construction and Technical Recruitment (CTR) are working with our partners in Australia. We are seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join a dynamic team working on commercial construction projects. Your expertise will be essential in delivering a range of projects, including schools, hospitals, and retirement villages. Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare detailed cost estimates and budgets for commercial projects
- Undertake cost planning and value engineering
- Conduct risk analysis and provide cost control advice
- Review contracts and negotiate terms with suppliers and contractors
- Manage project procurement and monitor progress on-site
- Prepare tender documentation and assist with the tendering process
- Provide expert advice to the project team on cost-related issues
- Perform cost reporting and financial forecasting
- A relevant qualification in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related field
- 2 to 4 years of hands-on experience in commercial construction projects
- Strong understanding of cost estimation, budgeting, and contract management
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills
- Proficiency in industry-standard software (e.g. CostX, Buildsoft, MS Excel)
- A strong track record in working on schools, hospitals, or retirement villages is highly desirable, not essential
- Eligible to work in Australia (Australian Citizens, Permanent Resident, or New Zealand Passport Holders)
