Quantity Surveyor
Job description
Job Title: Quantity Surveyor
Location: Cape Town, South Africa
RPO Recruitment, a reputable recruitment agency, is currently seeking a motivated and skilled Quantity Surveyor to join our client's team in Cape Town. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in quantity surveying and be able to demonstrate excellent analytical and organizational skills. This position offers the opportunity to work on a variety of projects in the construction industry in the Cape Town area.
Responsibilities:
- Conducting cost estimates and preparing tender documents
- Assisting in the preparation of bills of quantities
- Evaluating and negotiating contractor and supplier bids
- Conducting site visits and monitoring construction progress
- Providing advice on contractual matters and variations
- Managing project budgets and ensuring cost control
- Preparing and presenting reports to clients and stakeholders
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying or related field
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in quantity surveying
- Strong knowledge of construction processes and materials
- Proficiency in software such as AutoCAD, Microsoft Excel, and quantity surveying tools
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
