Quantity Surveyor

A leading commercial building contractor in Auckland's North Shore is seeking an Experienced Quantity Surveyor to join the team on a major commercial project. The successful applicant must have hands-on experience working for a builder and a strong background in commercial construction cost management.

You will play a key role in supporting the project team to deliver the project on time and within budget. This role is ideal for a Quantity Surveyor with proven builder-side experience, looking to work on a technically complex project and make an impact from day one.

• Prepare and manage project budgets, cost plans, and forecasts

• Review and value subcontractor claims, variations, and invoices

• Support tendering, procurement, and contract administration processes

• Monitor project costs, including reporting and analysis

• Collaborate closely with Project Managers, Site Teams, and Consultants

• Ensure compliance with contractual obligations and internal procedures

• Assist with project close-out and final account settlements

• Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor working for a commercial builder

• Strong understanding of construction contracts, cost management, and procurement

• Experience in large-scale commercial or technically complex projects

• Excellent communication, negotiation, and reporting skills

• Ability to work collaboratively with site teams and project management

• Proactive, organised, and able to work in a fast-paced environment
