Quantity Surveyor

We're looking for a Quantity Surveyor to join our Kier Places – Building Solutions team based in London. Location: London – remote working available, with occasional travel to the office required Hours: 40 hours per week – 08:30–17:00 We are unable to offer certificates of sponsorship to any candidates in this role. What will you be responsible for? As a Quantity Surveyor, you'll be working within the Kier Places – Building Solutions team, supporting them in delivering high-quality refurbishments and new build projects across London. This is an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic and growing business, with a strong focus on customer satisfaction and employee development. What will you do? You'll work closely with our construction teams to ensure that all projects are delivered within budget, on time, and to the required quality standards. This will involve: • Pre-construction activities, including feasibility studies, cost planning, and procurement strategies • Construction phase activities, including site inspections, progress reporting, and snagging • Post-construction activities, including final account settlements, defects liability periods, and warranty management You'll also be responsible for maintaining accurate records of project costs, ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures, and providing regular updates to stakeholders. We're looking for someone with the following skills and experience: • Quantity surveying or construction-related degree • Minimum of 2 years' experience in a similar role • Strong understanding of construction methods, materials, and processes • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills • Ability to work independently and as part of a team • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, etc.) What's next?
