Quantity Surveyor

Are you a detail-oriented Quantity Surveyor with a background in plumbing? Join a leading contractor specializing in wet services projects across South Africa. We are seeking a proactive and experienced Quantity Surveyor to manage the financial and contractual aspects of multiple construction sites. The ideal candidate will have experience in the plumbing and wet services sector, with strong skills in cost control, take-offs, and client liaison. Key Responsibilities: Prepare and submit monthly reports on project progress and financial performance. Manage and control project costs, including budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis. Coordinate with project managers, site managers, and other stakeholders to ensure effective communication and collaboration. Develop and maintain relationships with clients, suppliers, and other stakeholders to ensure successful project delivery. Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements. Identify and mitigate potential risks and issues, and develop contingency plans as necessary. Provide expert advice and guidance to project teams on financial and contractual matters. Key Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying or a related field. 5+ years of experience in the construction industry, preferably in the plumbing and wet services sector. Strong understanding of construction law, contracts, and regulations. Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks and projects. Proficiency in MS Office, particularly Excel. Knowledge of construction estimating and cost control software.
