Quantity Surveyor

Hire Resolve, a well-established recruitment agency, is currently seeking a Quantity Surveyor to join their client's team in Johannesburg. As a Quantity Surveyor, you will play a key role in managing costs and ensuring the successful delivery of construction projects. In this role, you will be responsible for preparing accurate cost estimates, managing project budgets, and providing contractual advice. You will collaborate with project teams, subcontractors, and clients to ensure project delivery is on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards. Your duties will include: • Preparing accurate cost estimates for construction projects; • Managing project budgets and ensuring that costs are controlled; • Providing contractual advice to project teams and clients; • Collaborating with project teams, subcontractors, and clients to ensure project delivery is on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards; • Conducting site visits to monitor project progress and identify potential issues; • Developing and maintaining relationships with clients and project teams; • Providing support and guidance to junior Quantity Surveyors; • Staying up-to-date with industry developments and best practices in construction cost management. Requirements: • Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying or a related field; • 3+ years of experience in Quantity Surveying; • Strong understanding of construction cost management principles and practices; • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; • Ability to work independently and as part of a team; • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel; • Familiarity with construction management software and systems; • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively; • Strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines; • Ability to work in a multicultural environment and adapt to changing circumstances.
