MEP Take-off Specialist

Job Description: MEP Take-off Specialist (US Projects) Position Title: MEP Take-off Specialist Department: Preconstruction / Engineering Support Location: Banaswadi, Bangalore Position Summary We are seeking a detail-oriented MEP Take-off Specialist to support U.S. construction projects through accurate quantity take-offs and scope quantification for Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing, and Fire Protection systems. The role involves reviewing construction drawings, specifications, and BIM models to extract quantities of materials required for the project. This includes identifying and quantifying all components such as pipes, fittings, valves, pumps, motors, electrical panels, lighting fixtures, fire alarms, sprinkler heads, etc. The successful candidate will have strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and ability to work independently with minimal supervision. Key Responsibilities: - Review construction drawings, specifications, and BIM models to extract quantities of materials required for the project. - Identify and quantify all components such as pipes, fittings, valves, pumps, motors, electrical panels, lighting fixtures, fire alarms, sprinkler heads, etc. - Develop accurate quantity take-offs and scope quantification for Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing, and Fire Protection systems. - Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure accuracy and completeness of quantity take-offs. - Provide support to project managers and engineers in preparing bid packages and estimating costs. - Stay up-to-date with industry trends, best practices, and new technologies. Requirements: - Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or related field. - Minimum 2 years of experience in MEP Take-off Specialist role. - Strong analytical skills and attention to detail. - Ability to work independently with minimal supervision. - Proficiency in MS Office, particularly Excel. - Familiarity with BIM software and construction management systems is an added advantage.
