Quality Engineering Manager

What You'll Be Doing (position summary): The QE Manager is responsible for leading the testing activities within CIBCs Core Banking and Payments Technology Quality Engineering team. This role ensures that client needs are met with the highest quality standards by overseeing all aspects of the testing process, including the design, development, and maintenance of automated test scripts. The incumbent coordinates end-to-end testing, drives continuous improvement, and ensures testing processes comply with industry best practices. Additionally, this role collaborates closely with cross-functional teams to identify and prioritize testing needs, develops and maintains testing strategies, and provides guidance on testing methodologies and tools. The QE Manager is also responsible for managing a team of test engineers and ensuring that all testing activities are aligned with the overall business objectives. This includes developing and implementing testing processes, procedures, and standards, as well as identifying and mitigating risks associated with testing. Furthermore, this role ensures that all testing activities are conducted in accordance with industry-recognized standards and regulations, such as ISO 26262 for automotive systems and IEC 62304 for medical devices. The QE Manager is also responsible for ensuring that the quality engineering team is equipped with the necessary tools, training, and resources to perform their duties effectively.
