Quality Engineering Consultant

What You'll Be Doing (position summary): The Quality Engineering Consultant is responsible for leading the testing activities within CIBC's SET Quality Engineering team. This role ensures that client needs are met with the highest quality standards by overseeing all aspects of the testing process, including the design, development, and maintenance of automated test scripts. The incumbent coordinates end-to-end testing, drives continuous improvement, and ensures testing processes comply with organizationally defined standards and best practices. Key responsibilities include: • Developing and maintaining a comprehensive testing strategy that aligns with business objectives; • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to identify and prioritize testing requirements; • Designing, developing, and executing automated test scripts using various tools and technologies; • Coordinating and overseeing the execution of end-to-end testing activities; • Identifying and implementing process improvements to increase efficiency and effectiveness; • Ensuring compliance with organizationally defined standards and best practices for testing processes. What We're Looking For: The ideal candidate will have a strong background in software testing, quality engineering, or a related field, with experience in leading testing activities and developing automated test scripts. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills are essential, as well as excellent communication and collaboration skills. A bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field is required.
