In this role, you will contribute to ensuring that gas-insulated switchgear (GIS) meet the highest technical standards before they reach the customer.

As a Quality Engineer in GIS production, you will be responsible for quality assurance throughout the entire final inspection process. You will be the technical point of contact for testing procedures, conduct customer acceptance (FAT – Factory Acceptance Tests), and ensure that deviations are identified, analyzed, and permanently resolved.

Your Tasks

• Ensure compliance with processes and quality specifications in GIS production—including the authority to stop production in case of serious deviations

• Plan and conduct customer acceptance (FAT) as well as professional representation of GE Vernova towards customers

• Conduct product and process tests according to applicable specifications, systematically evaluate the results, and maintain test documentation in SAP and Windchill

• Lead or support root cause analyses, define improvement measures, and systematically track their implementation—using Smartsheet, among others

• Issue special approvals for documented deviations in coordination with Research & Development (R&D), the Quality Leader, and Production

• Develop and conduct quality training for production employees

• Take over quality assurance for LVCC (Low Voltage Control Cubicles) as the central point of contact

Required

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related technical field—or equivalent professional experience in GIS or high-voltage technology

• Experience in quality assurance or final inspection in an industrial production environment

• Knowledge in conducting root cause analyses and deriving corrective actions

• Very good German skills as well as good English skills, both written and spoken

Preferred

• Experience with gas-insulated switchgear (GIS) or high-voltage components

• Knowledge in conducting or accompanying Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT)

• Familiarity with relevant standards and testing regulations (e.g., IEC 62271)

• Experience with SAP (Quality or Production modules) as well as with Windchill or a comparable PLM (Product Lifecycle Management) system
