For a prestigious client company in the railway sector, we are selecting:

Quality Assurance (QA) Engineer (maternity cover)

Your responsibilities will include:

· Coordinate all Safety Assurance activities within your perimeter projects according to the safety process defined in the Safety Signaling Instructions

· Perform safety analyses, manage the Hazard Register, review RAM, Cyber, V&V, T&C activities from a safety perspective

· Define the safety plan and manage the safety workload and associated planning

· Apply the safety assurance methodologies (risk acceptance criteria, safety analysis, verification and validation) defined for the Project

· Periodically participate in safety reviews

· Defend safety case arguments before internal (QS, Safety Assessor) and external (ISA) evaluators; Define and follow up on action plans to close out reviewer findings

· Coordinate the safety assurance engineers involved in ETCS and/or IXL projects

· Support the review of any safety issues and their root cause identification and mitigation measures

Do you have these skills and characteristics?

· Degree in Engineering (preferably Electronic Engineering) or similar

· Fluent English

· Knowledge of Cenelec Safety Standards (or equivalent standards if necessary: AREMA, IEEE, etc.) and safety methodology and concepts/principles

· Ability to perform and coordinate analyses, design reviews, and evaluations of assigned projects using sound engineering principles, adhering to company standards and procedures in accordance with the design

Soft skills: orderliness and precision, autonomy and initiative, operational problem-solving, time management, flexibility, excellent interpersonal and communication skills

Working hours: full time, Mon–Fri 9:00 AM–1:00 PM / 2:00 PM–5:30 PM

Contractual Offer:

• Contract: Full time - Fixed-term temporary employment contract of 6/9 months for maternity cover;
• Applied CCNL: Metalmeccanico (Metalworking and Mechanical Industry);
• Employment Level: B2;
• Expected Salary: RAL range €35,000 – €40,000 - defined based on contractual level, foreseen duties, and position characteristics. Also provided: performance bonus, company canteen or Ticket Restaurant

· Work Location: Bologna, Florence, Rome
