About the Role:

We’re currently looking for a qualified Electrician to join our team in Westport on a full-time, permanent basis.

Key Responsibilities:

• Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems for industrial, commercial, and residential projects.
• Conduct electrical inspections, identify faults, and perform diagnostics and repairs.
• Ensure all electrical work meets New Zealand’s electrical standards, including compliance with all relevant regulations.
• Respond to callouts and perform fault-finding and repairs.
• Maintain accurate records of work completed, including certificates and compliance documentation.
• Ensure the safe use of tools, equipment, and machinery in line with NZ health and safety standards.
• Confident in Customer Service.
• Ability to support, mentor and train electrical apprentices.

Key Requirements:

• A Fully qualified Electrician with a current New Zealand Electrical Registration and a practising license (EWRB).
• Experience in commercial and residential electrical work.
• Knowledge of New Zealand’s electrical safety regulations, and the Health and Safety at Work Act 2015.
• Experience in industrial electrical work (desirable but not essential).
• Experience of heat pump or solar installation (desirable but not essential).
• Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Highly motivated and quick-thinking with a focus on fault finding and root cause analysis.
• Ability to self-direct while also working effectively within a team.
• Full New Zealand driver’s license.
• The legal right to work in New Zealand.
