QC Analyst – Microbiology

Role : QC Analyst – Microbiology Role Overview The QC Analyst is responsible for reviewing and approving microbiological test data before it is released to clients. The role ensures data accuracy, regulatory compliance, and scientifically sound interpretation of results for food and related samples. Key Responsibilities Review microbiological test results including colony counts, confirmation tests, and presence/absence assays Ensure testing is performed as per approved SOPs, validated methods, and standard operating procedures Verify the accuracy of test data and ensure that all necessary documentation is complete and accurate Conduct routine audits to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and company policies Identify and report any deviations from established protocols or procedures Collaborate with laboratory staff to resolve any issues or discrepancies Develop and maintain a comprehensive understanding of microbiological testing methods, including PCR, serology, and culture-based techniques Maintain accurate records of all testing activities, including test results, sample handling, and equipment maintenance Provide technical support to laboratory staff as needed Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to optimize testing processes and improve data quality
