QA Manager (m/w/d, Part-time)

Oxolo is a KI start-up from Hamburg. We develop modern KI software that helps companies simplify their daily work processes by making them more intelligent, faster, and easier to manage. Our new KI solution targets the construction industry - particularly architecture firms, crafts businesses, construction companies, and other companies along the value chain.

Our claim is to build KI solutions that create measurable benefits in real-world working conditions: less manual work, better preparation, faster communication, and clearer decision-making bases for teams that daily work with projects, documents, offers, meetings, and operational workflows.

To make this happen on actual construction sites, we need more than just good features. We need someone who critically reviews them, ensures their reliability, and anticipates potential issues. That's where you come in.

Aufgaben

As QA Manager, you'll build the test foundation for Oxolo's web and mobile products: close to the development team, close to the product, with actual construction site processes in mind.

• **Quality is created at the beginning, not at the end.
  **You develop test cases and plans not just based on design specs but also considering real-world use cases from the field and branch-specific edge cases. You'll know the product better than anyone else.

• **Testing as an active part of development.
  **You work closely with the product and engineering teams throughout the entire development cycle, recognizing issues early on and writing bug reports that are clear enough to accelerate fixing.

• **Responsibility for the release gate.
  **You ensure that releases meet defined quality and robustness criteria for web, iOS, and Android before they're delivered.

This role is intentionally designed as an entry point into a growing QA function. You'll start with a clear core area: building test coverage, working closely to the development cycle, securing releases. What comes next depends on you.

Qualifikation

Must have

• Mind. 2 years of experience in QA/software testing, ideally in a rapidly growing or start-up environment.
• German as mother tongue (C2/mother-tongue level). This is essential for working with our DACH customer base, German-language documentation, and German construction vocabulary.
• Demonstrated ability to methodically and reproducibly create test plans and cases.
• Experience in testing on mobile (iOS and/or Android) and web, as well as ensuring platform-agnostic parity.
• High attention to detail and clear, reproducible bug reports.
• Strong communication skills and coordination ease. You work well with engineers and PMs together.
• Self-starter and proactive: able to organize your test activities with minimal oversight.
• Secure English (spoken and written).

Nice to have

• Experience with software for the DACH construction industry (or related field services/baustelle tools) is a big plus - particularly familiarity with how German-speaking construction teams actually work on-site.
• Experience in building QA from scratch or scaling up in a start-up or scale-up.
• Experience in defining release/smile test checklists and regression suites.
• Experience with KI/LLM-driven features and testing non-deterministic output.
• Familiarity with issue trackers (we use Linear), test management tools, and QA process automation
• Knowledge about compliance-, data protection- and opt-in-sensitive features (DSGVO, TÜV, SOC II Type 2) and risk-free testing.
