QA Manager - Manual Testing (10 years)

Job Title: QA Manager (Manual Testing)

• Lead, mentor, and guide the QA team to ensure smooth project delivery.
  

• Allocate tasks, monitor progress, and ensure timely completion of testing activities.
  

• Establish testing standards, best practices, and quality processes.
  

• Define and manage end-to-end test plans, test cases, and test cycles.
  

• Review and validate test scenarios to ensure comprehensive coverage.
  

• Oversee functional, regression, usability, and compatibility testing.
  

• Work closely with product owners, developers, and project managers to clarify requirements and expectations.
  

• Communicate testing progress, risks, and quality metrics to stakeholders.
  

• Ensure defects are logged, tracked, and resolved efficiently.
  

• Monitor and improve QA processes for better efficiency and reliability.
  

• Implement continuous improvement practices within the QA function.
  

• Maintain clear documentation for test cases, results, and processes.
  

• Prepare QA metrics, dashboards, and reports for leadership review.
  

Required Skills & Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in manual testing, with at least 2–3 years in a managerial/lead role.
  

• Strong understanding of SDLC, STLC, and defect lifecycle.
  

• Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
  

• Excellent analytical, communication, and leadership skills.
  

• Ability to multitask and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  

• Knowledge of API testing, SQL, and basic automation concepts is a plus.
  

Nice-to-Have Skills

• Exposure to automation tools (Selenium, Cypress, etc.)
  

• Experience in performance or security testing
  

• Certification like ISTQB, CSTE, or equivalent
