QA Manager for the Defense Metaverse (m/w/d)

As QA Manager (m/w/d), you are responsible for ensuring the quality of our Defense Metaverse – a complex, simulation-based platform with AI-controlled actors, distributed systems, and security-relevant requirements. You ensure that software, simulations, and AI behavior are reproducible, valid, robust, and operational.

Aufgaben

• Aufbau, Weiterentwicklung und Verantwortung der QA-Strategie for the Defense Metaverse
• Definition and implementation of Qualitätsstandards for software, simulations, and AI components
• Planning, steering, and execution of funktionalen, nicht-funktionalen und systemischen Tests
• Quality assurance of:
• Simulation logic and scenarios
• Ai-based opponent and agent behavior
• Distributed and networked systems
• Development and maintenance of Testkonzepten, Testplänen und Testfällen
• Introduction and use of automatisierten Testverfahren, where applicable
• Analysis of errors, root-cause analysis, and follow-up until resolution
• Closely working with Softwareentwicklung, KI-Teams, Systemarchitektur und Produktverantwortlichen
• Safeguarding of Nachvollziehbarkeit, Reproduzierbarkeit und Dokumentation of test results
• Support for Abnahmen, Reviews and Releases

Qualifikation

• Degree in Informatik, Software Engineering, Systems Engineering or equivalent
• Alternatively: comparable practical experience in complex software or simulation projects
• Multiple years of professional experience in Qualitätsmanagement oder Software-QA, preferably in complex systems
• Experience with Testmethoden für verteilte Systeme, Simulationen oder KI-basierte Software
• Understanding of KI-Systemen, particularly non-deterministic behavior
• Experience with Testautomatisierung, test frameworks, and QA tools
• Safe handling of Linux-Umgebungen and modern development processes
• Understanding of Systemarchitekturen, Schnittstellen und Datenflüssen
• Excellent German and fluent English
• Good communication skills and social competence
• High motivation to work independently and proactively solve problems („Auftragstaktik“)
• Personal suitability for a security check (Ü2)
