QA Engineer

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain comprehensive test plans, test cases, and automation frameworks.
• Develop and execute automated and manual tests to validate application functionality, performance, and security.
• Identify, document, and track software defects using issue-tracking tools (e.g., Jira).
• Collaborate with developers and product teams to clarify requirements and define acceptance criteria.
• Drive continuous improvement in testing processes and automation coverage.
• Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI, Azure DevOps).
• Mentor junior QA engineers and promote quality-driven engineering practices across the team.
• Participate in code reviews and provide feedback on testability and quality aspects.
• Analyze test results, provide clear metrics, and communicate findings to stakeholders.

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in software testing, including both manual and automated testing.
• Strong understanding of QA methodologies, tools, and best practices.
• Hands-on experience with automation frameworks (e.g., Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, JUnit, TestNG).
• Proficiency in at least one programming language (e.g., Java, C#, Python, or JavaScript).
• Experience with API testing tools (e.g., Postman, REST Assured).
• Familiarity with version control (Git) and CI/CD systems.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.

• Experience with performance or load testing (e.g., JMeter, Gatling).
• Exposure to cloud environments (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
• Knowledge of containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Experience in testing microservices architectures.
• Background in security or compliance-driven environments (e.g., finance, healthcare)
