We are looking for a Senior Developer (ML/Data) to support the development of a web-based platform for automated extraction and processing of document data using generative AI. The project focuses on increasing productivity and quality in administrative processes through the use of modern cloud services and Large Language Models.

Your tasks

• Integration and adaptation of services for data extraction and automation (e.g. extraction from PDF contract documents, interpretation, cleaning, and conversion to JSON structures or vector databases)

• Analysis together with subject matter experts based on real-life examples and derivation of technical requirements

• Conceptualization of the technical implementation using AWS Bedrock Data Automation or other technical services

• Implementation and adaptation of components according to the concept

• Testing, debugging, and optimization together with subject matter experts to ensure quality standards

• Creation of technical and professional documentation

• Execution of work packages, reaching story points, and ensuring team velocity within agile sprints and PI intervals

• Continuous improvement of processes and close cooperation in the team

Must-Requirements

• At least 3 years of experience in programming in the enterprise environment at companies with more than 10,000 employees using Python and corresponding technical skills

• At least 3 years of experience in communication with end-users and in requirement gathering, as well as corresponding communicative skills

• Proof of at least 4 references regarding experience in automated extraction of data from contract and accounting documents and their structured preparation in predefined data formats

• At least 5 years of experience with AWS services for document and data extraction, such as Bedrock Data Automation or Textract, within the AWS environment and corresponding technical skills

May-Requirements

• Proof of at least 3 references for integrating data extraction into RAG pipelines and workflows based on AWS, for example using Bedrock, Data Automation, and other AWS services

• At least 5 years of experience in setting up the corresponding infrastructure in AWS

• At least 3 years of experience in using AWS Bedrock Data Automation

Further Information

The location is Frankfurt am Main. The performance period includes 80 person-days, with 8 days on-site for PI planning and workshops scheduled.
