Python / Django Developer (m/f/d) – Fullstack, REST, CI/CD

Who we are

Rockstardevelopers, founded in 2015 in Mannheim, with further offices in Stuttgart and Munich. We are a software and IT service provider with experience from hundreds of projects for enterprise and medium-sized businesses.

Your tasks

You will work in an agile Scrum team at a large corporation. The team develops and maintains a web application based on Python and Django with PostgreSQL, operated in the AWS cloud.

• Implement new features in Python and Django and further develop existing ones
• Build user interfaces with HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Bootstrap, and Django templates
• Develop REST interfaces and connect external systems
• Utilize and further develop CI/CD pipelines, create deployment packages
• Evaluate and resolve security findings from scans
• Coordinate functional requirements with the Product Owner and the business department

The assignments are predominantly remote. Customer appointments are usually in Frankfurt, with occasional on-site days (about two days every three months).

Where you will land

Depending on the project, you will work for large corporations, in the public sector, or for enterprise and medium-sized customers. Our clients fill these projects almost exclusively with permanent employees. That's why we are looking for you in permanent employment.

What you bring

What we expect:

• More than three years of development with Python and Django
• More than three years of frontend development with HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, ideally with Bootstrap and Django templates
• More than three years of experience with REST interfaces and connecting external systems
• More than three years of experience with CI/CD
• Experience in evaluating and resolving security findings

Advantageous (not a must):

• PDF and report generation, for example with WeasyPrint or wkhtmltopdf
• Data processing with pandas
• PostgreSQL
• Geodata and coordinates
• Projects in the railway sector
• Initial experience with AI support in development

Project language is German

You will work in the client's team, in German, in meetings and in documentation. The client expects native-level German proficiency.
