We are currently looking for a profile for the position: Python/Django Architect Organizational information: Office location: Gdańsk Service delivery model: remote + occasional office visits (once a quarter) Start: ASAP Form of cooperation: B2B contract Engagement: part-time (approx. a few hours a week), flexible scope, depending on current project needs, with the possibility of increasing engagement in the future Salary range: 155 - 185 PLN/h net + VAT English language: required at an advanced level (C1) - daily cooperation in an international environment Sector: financial Project: development of a specialized, cloud-based solution designed for accounting firms and financial specialists. The platform supports, among others, task management, client communication, and compliance processes, including AML (Anti-Money Laundering) and KYC (Know Your Customer). After full implementation, the solution will be used by over 3,000 users daily. The project includes both the development of new functionalities and the maintenance and development of the existing solution. Tech stack: Python, Django 4.2, Django REST Framework, Django Filters, Celery, Pytest, Angular 21, TypeScript, RxJS, Angular Material, PostgreSQL, Redis, AWS Fargate, CircleCI, Git, GitHub, Jira, Toggl Scope of tasks: Design, development, and evolution of the system architecture based on Python/Django, taking into account business and product needs Analysis of the existing architecture and identification of areas requiring optimization, modernization, and scaling Design of solutions ensuring system performance, scalability, stability, and reliability Solving complex technical problems related to Django, Django ORM, PostgreSQL, Celery, and Redis Making key architectural decisions and recommending solutions, taking into account risks, costs, and technological trade-offs Supporting the scaling of the existing Django monolith without the need for a 'big-bang rewrite' and assessing the feasibility of using microservices Acting as a Technical Advisor for the client - conducting consultations, presenting recommendations, questioning assumptions, and proposing alternative solutions Cooperation with the client, business, and technical team in making key architectural and technological decisions Ad-hoc support for the team in evaluating solutions and solving complex technical problems Co-creating a technical development plan and ensuring a consistent direction for architectural development Expectations: Experience in the position of Software Architect or in a similar technical-architectural role Very good knowledge of Python and Django, including experience with Django REST Framework, Django ORM, Django Filters, and Celery Experience with PostgreSQL and Redis, including optimization of queries and data models Practical experience in scaling applications and solving performance issues Experience in developing and scaling existing monoliths without the need for a 'big-bang rewrite' Experience in designing complex system architectures and making long-term technological decisions Good knowledge of microservices architecture and approaches to gradual system evolution Experience with AWS, familiarity with AWS Fargate is a plus Knowledge of CI/CD and Git/GitHub, experience with CircleCI is a plus Ability to analyze technical problems, evaluate different solutions, and clearly present trade-offs and risks Ability to combine business, product, and technical perspectives Very good communication skills and experience in cooperating with clients and technical and business stakeholders We offer: Long-term, stable cooperation based on a B2B contract Opportunity for development in a large structure, direct contact with the team Manager Cooperation with experts in a company where IT is mature and global, and agile methodologies are respected Contribution to a MultiSport card and insurance Efficient recruitment process (video conference), maximum 2 online meetings (first with someone from the team, second with the Manager) Employment agency - certificate number 14181
