Python, C# Programmer (m/w/x) for Tactical Radio Devices

Project Description:

To support our team at our customer in the field of Funk and Communication, we are looking for a Python programmer (m/w/x) for tactical radio devices to be employed by K-tronik. Sounds interesting? Then we look forward to your application!

Tasks:

• Analyzing the existing analog/digital measurement system based on C# and primarily used for automated and manual testing of radio frequencies and communication paths - Developing a flexible Python-based interface for controlling and evaluating the measurement system, which should exist parallel to the existing system to ensure data consistency in production accompanying tests - Migrating existing test cases to Python - Conducting tests and validating the new interface for both manual and automated workflows and considering the current test framework G5 and future migration to DETECT. Ensuring data consistency and test compatibility between C# and Python - Preparing a template for implementing new test cases. Additionally, developing an architecture that enables easy integration and execution of short-term required Python scripts to override or extend standard workflow as needed - Emphasizing user-friendly interface and comprehensive documentation for end-users and developers - Developing a concept for multi-user usage of the Python interface, including rights management and script release - Collaboration with other team members (e.g. test equipment developers, testers) - Creating a detailed technical documentation of the interface, API, and scripting functions - Documenting software and interfaces in the repository/GitLab - Planning, documenting, and controlling project progress in Jira - The system upgrade should be completed within 12 months

Qualifications:

• Pertise in: - Python (at least version 3.x) - Controlling hardware via interfaces (e.g. serial interface, USB) and test automation Funded knowledge in: - C# - Communication between different programming languages/systems (e.g. through APIs, data formats) - CI/CD - Developing modular software architectures that enable easy extensibility and integration of scripts. Knowledge of developing user-friendly interfaces (e.g. with PyQt) is an advantage Experience: - Creating comprehensive technical documentation, including API references and tutorials - With version control systems (e.g. Git) - With agile development methods - Independent, structured, and solution-oriented working style - Good German and English language skills in writing and speaking - Completed studies in computer science, electrical engineering or a comparable qualification
