Purchase Manager

For one of its clients, Robert Half is looking for a talented Purchasing Manager (m/f/x) to manage relationships with our strategic suppliers, optimize their performance and ensure their reliability. Our client is based around the Gembloux region. The Purchasing Manager supervises strategic sourcing and operational procurement of materials, equipment, and services necessary for industrial operations and facility management. This position involves managing a team of buyers and coordinating with various departments to achieve business objectives. Key responsibilities include: • Developing and implementing procurement strategies to meet business needs; • Building and maintaining relationships with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of high-quality products; • Negotiating prices, terms, and conditions with suppliers to optimize costs and improve profitability; • Managing inventory levels and optimizing storage capacity to minimize waste and reduce costs; • Coordinating with logistics teams to ensure efficient transportation and handling of goods; • Analyzing market trends and competitor activity to identify opportunities for cost savings and process improvements; • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to develop and implement procurement policies and procedures; • Maintaining accurate records and reports on procurement activities, costs, and performance metrics. Requirements: • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or related field; • Minimum 3 years of experience in purchasing or supply chain management; • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; • Excellent communication and negotiation skills; • Ability to work independently and as part of a team; • Proficiency in MS Office, particularly Excel.
