Purchasing Officer-Maternity Leave Replacement

Microtest is looking for a Purchasing Officer to cover a maternity leave, to be included in the Supply Chain department. The resource will report to the Purchasing Manager and will deal with the following activities: * Management of the purchasing process, from the request for quotes to the placement of orders, in compliance with the Company's economic and qualitative standards. * Management and development of supplier relationships, negotiating prices, payment terms and delivery times. * Analysis of market trends and identification of potential new suppliers. * Monitoring of supply performance and resolution of any critical issues. * Collaboration with other departments to ensure the timely and efficient supply of materials and services. * Implementation of initiatives to optimize purchasing costs and improve the efficiency of the supply chain. Requirements: * Proven experience in a similar role, preferably in the electronics or industrial sector. * Good knowledge of purchasing processes and techniques. * Excellent negotiation and communication skills. * Ability to work independently and in a team. * Problem-solving and decision-making skills. * Knowledge of English, both written and spoken. * Good knowledge of Microsoft Office, especially Excel. * Knowledge of an ERP system (e.g. SAP, Microsoft Dynamics) is a plus.
