Purchasing Manager - Shipyard (0026 Feb 2024)

Royal Ocean Marine, a leading headhunting /recruitment agencies company, is seeking an experienced Purchasing Manager to join our client's team. In this role, you will be responsible for managing the purchasing activities for the shipyard, including sourcing suppliers, negotiating contracts, and ensuring timely and cost-effective procurement of materials, equipment, and services. The successful candidate will have a strong background in shipyard procurement, excellent negotiation and communication skills, and the ability to work effectively with various stakeholders. Key responsibilities include: • Sourcing and selecting suppliers for the shipyard's needs; • Negotiating contracts with suppliers to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of materials, equipment, and services; • Ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures; • Maintaining accurate records of procurement activities; • Collaborating with other departments to ensure effective communication and coordination. The ideal candidate will have a degree in Supply Chain Management or related field, 5+ years of experience in shipyard procurement, excellent negotiation and communication skills, and the ability to work effectively with various stakeholders.
