As Purchaser, you are responsible for the strategic procurement process of materials and services that are essential for our operations. You work closely with various departments and suppliers to achieve optimal purchase terms.

• Investigate and evaluate suppliers and their offers;
• Negotiate prices, conditions, and contracts;
• Analyze market trends to improve procurement strategies;
• Manage supplier relationships and ensure optimal cooperation;
• Prepare and maintain procurement reports;
• Ensure timely and correct receipt of goods and services;
• Continuously improve procurement processes and procedures.

Requirements

We are looking for a communicatively strong and analytical Purchaser who excels both independently and in team settings. You are able to build good relationships with suppliers while also safeguarding the interests of the company.

Furthermore, you bring:

• A degree in a relevant field (e.g. Business Administration, Economics, Logistics);
• At least 3 years of experience in a procurement role, preferably in an industrial environment;
• Strong negotiation skills and commercial insight;
• Fluent command of Dutch and English; other languages are a plus;
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills;
• Good knowledge of MS Office and experience with procurement systems.

Who are we looking for?

We are looking for someone who can easily integrate into the technical aspects of machines and installations that we procure, so you understand the requirements of internal teams. As Project Purchaser, you will work both independently and in team settings. You have an analytical and structured mindset and are communicatively strong, both towards suppliers and with internal departments such as Legal, IT, Facility, ,… .

Furthermore, you possess:

• An interest in logistics, technology, and innovation.
• A good knowledge of the Microsoft Office package (Word, Excel, Outlook, …).
• A first experience within a procurement department, preferably in a technical context.
• A driving license B.
• Experience with negotiating contracts
