Purchase Medical officer

Position: Purchase Officer (Medical) Location: HERA Campus Qualification: Post Graduate (Any Discipline) Experience: Minimum 5 years in purchase operations for a Medical College or Hospital Job Summary: The Purchase Officer (Medical) will be responsible for managing the procurement process for medical equipment, instruments, and consumables for the institution. The role involves vendor management, negotiation, purchase planning, cost control, and ensuring timely supply of quality materials as per the requirements. Key responsibilities include: • Managing the procurement process from start to finish, including identifying needs, evaluating vendors, negotiating prices, and ensuring timely delivery. • Developing and maintaining relationships with vendors to ensure a stable supply chain. • Conducting market research to identify potential suppliers and negotiate competitive pricing. • Coordinating with internal stakeholders to understand their requirements and provide them with options for procurement. • Ensuring compliance with institutional policies and procedures related to procurement. • Maintaining accurate records of all procurements, including vendor information, prices, and delivery dates. • Collaborating with other departments to ensure a smooth procurement process. The ideal candidate should have: • A Post Graduate degree in any discipline. • Minimum 5 years of experience in purchase operations for a Medical College or Hospital. • Strong communication and negotiation skills. • Ability to work independently and as part of a team. • Knowledge of medical equipment, instruments, and consumables. • Familiarity with procurement processes and procedures. • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
